Location: Lodders Solicitors, 1 Newhall Street, Birmingham, B3 3NH
A workshop focusing on supporting neurodiversity in the workplace. It will impact on productivity, reduce absences, help develop better management skills, prevent team conflict and reap huge benefits for a business.
Supporting Neurodiversity encourages diverse perspectives and problem-solving skills whilst promoting an inclusive culture that cares for the wellbeing of its employees.
Recognising that diagnosis of neurodiversity is increasing, employers are encouraged in this workshop to look at how these unique minds bring benefits to an organisation, the challenges the individuals face and the methods of managing neurodiversity in the workplace to ensure they are more inclusive.
This workshop will cover the following:
- What is neurodiversity? Types of neurodivergences with some facts and figures.
- Acceptable language - What not to say! How you can better describe neurodivergent characteristics.
- What are the benefits to hiring someone with neurodiversity? Understand how much value these employees can add to the business. Assists with recruitment and retention.
- Challenges the employee may face - Explore what makes everyday life harder for the neurodivergent and why it matters to Line Managers.
- What can you do to help? How best to support and integrate these individuals into the workplace.
